Learning English
Neχus offers classes taught by friendly and helpful teachers. We offer classes at various levels so that the student can learn English well. Neχus will train those who want to help as teachers.
Conversation Partners
One way to develop friendships with newcomers is to become a conversation partner. Many newcomers express their desire to have a trusted friend with whom they can talk and better understand American culture.
Citizenship Classes
Once someone has lived in the US for five years and speaks English sufficiently, they can take the citizenship interview and exam. We offer citizenship classes which prepares the student in basic American history, constitutional rights and laws, among other things.
Sports and Activities
Another way to connect with newcomers is to participate in a variety of sports and other activities together. These include sports such as volleyball, floor hockey and soccer. Simply taking a walk with someone is also a great way to develop friendships.
